Clams Italiano
Ingredients :
1/2 cup butter
5 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups dry white wine
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon dried parsley
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
36 clams in shell, scrubbed
Direction :
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Briefly cook
garlic in butter. Add in wine and stir, then use red pepper flakes,
parsley, and oregano for seasoning.
In the wine mixture, lay clams. Cover, and steam till all the clams
have opened: discard all the clams that did not open. Place in
soup bowls and generously pour broth over them when serving.
